I originally wrote the beginning to a book during the 2008 election. History was being made and it was clear that the election of our first African American President was not something everyone wanted.
Since I had written books before about conspiracy and terrorism here in the United States, if felt only natural to tackle this subject matter. Has you will see in the first chapter, there are a lot of possibilities as to where the book could go. I look froward to see what the readers think, suggest and guide the other authors to do with the rest of the book.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I hope to check back on this blog often so I can respond to what has been written.
Thanks for letting me be a part of this historic endeavor.

GAPH 2: The Readers
Extinguishing the Light
This book starts out with a quick pace. The first chapter sets a course of conspiracy and murder while using the events of a recent presidential election as its plot backdrop. Characters dialogue is realistic and not dense. However, the characterizations could be more robust to bring the reader more into the story. I would want to see the next author take the baton and enhance the character development. There were a couple of misspelled words (through vs. throw), but overall a great beginning.
ReplyDeleteThe story has the potential for grand action-packed novel. I am excited at the concept of the World Book. The idea of a novel that connects authors, with public comment, offers a current, ever-evolving, living, breathing story creation. I look forward to watching this book get raised by the village of authors that it deserves.
Thank you for your comments Mr. Smith. While we value the correction of English, we have chosen not to edit the author's work at this time, too much. A review of the chapter prior to it being posted will be done, but sadly, even we miss spelling errors. We do hope that each author will review their work carefully prior to submission.
DeleteIn addition, we do hope that the Author's will take up the story line and add to it based on what the commentator's write in the blogs to help make this a very interactive book of ideas and concepts.
